That same year, when scanning the surface of Rana IV for survivors after the planet had been devastated in an attack instigated by the Husnocks, the USS Enterprise-D's sensors picked up an artificial structure at thirty seven degrees north and sixty two degrees east. Inside the structure, the sensors picked up the lifeforms of Kevin and Rishon Uxbridge. (TNG: "The Survivors")

In 2371, an away team from the USS Voyager discovered there was a geological shift in a cave system on Avery III when they compared the initial geological scan with the most recent scan. A tunnel had shifted almost seventy five degrees, trapping an earlier away team who were subsequently captured by the Vidiians. (VOY: "Faces")

In 3189, as she searched for a spot in a glacier with the highest thickness and density where the USS Discovery could land, Ensign Sylvia Tilly located ice which was fifty meters thick five degrees to port. (DIS: "Far From Home")
