David R. Long is a writer who wrote with Robert Lederman the stories for the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine third and fifth season episodes "Improbable Cause" and "The Assignment" and the Star Trek: Voyager seventh season episode "Nightingale". For the latter one he was credited as Dave Long.
