In 3074, an artifact buried nine meters beneath the ruins at Kesef was uncovered by a Kyrian research team. The artifact was a data storage device which came from the USS Voyager. Quarren speculated that the active data could possibly contain crew logs or even Captain Kathryn Janeway's personal almanac, and that within the next few days the Museum of Kyrian Heritage could be hearing Voyager's version of the events depicted in the holoprogram The Voyager Encounter. Later while dictating his examination of the device, cataloged as artifact 271, Quarren discovered that the device not only contained more data than he expected, but that it was more like a program of some sort, an optronic data stream, and a hologram, specifically the EMH backup module which was a backup copy of The Doctor.
