The central desert was a sparsely populated desert region on a the Nezu colony planet, located in the Delta Quadrant.
It included the area five hundred kilometers from the southern tip of the largest continent, where in 2373 two asteroid fragments struck the surface, leaving substantial cratering. (VOY: "Rise")
