The carapaces of Diggers
A carapace was the body armor of a Digger, a burrowing animal native to the planet Terra Nova.
In 2151, Captain Jonathan Archer and Lieutenant Malcolm Reed discovered the gutting room of the Novans which included bowls of digger meat, skeletal remains, skulls, and several carapaces. The Novans used these carapaces to wear as body armor. (ENT: "Terra Nova")
