For additional meanings of "Campbell", please see Campbell.

The Campbell was a Federation Type 15 shuttlepod that was in service with Starfleet in the mid-24th century, attached to the USS Enterprise-D.

In 2368, Commander William T. Riker, Lieutenant Commander Data, and Counselor Deanna Troi took the Campbell to the surface of a satellite of Mab-Bu VI to investigate the possible existence of survivors from the USS Essex. The shuttle was damaged by storms in the atmosphere of the planet, and crash landed on the surface. (TNG: "Power Play")

According to the Star Trek: The Next Generation Companion, 2nd ed., p. 193, the shuttle was named after science fiction author John W. Campbell (though the book incorrectly states "named for pioneering science fiction author Joseph W. Campbell").
