Boslic

The Boslics were a non-aligned, spacefaring humanoid species.

History[]

In 2154, several Boslic slave traders attended the Orion slave auctions on Verex III. (ENT: "Borderland")

During the 2370s, Boslic freighters frequently visited Deep Space 9. (DS9: "Babel") In 2372, a Boslic freighter was involved in a contraband smuggling operation uncovered by Klingon-turned-Bajoran officer Kurn. (DS9: "Sons of Mogh")

During the same era, at least one Boslic served in Starfleet. (DS9: "Call to Arms")

Several Boslics appeared in the audience of a holographic Tsunkatse match, in the Delta Quadrant. (VOY: "Tsunkatse")

Physiology[]

The Boslics had at least two distinct morphologies to their appearance. One type of Boslic had a smooth forehead and brow that brimmed slightly over the eyes, and meeting from both sides, together at the top of the nose. The second morphology type was characterized by ridged foreheads, wrinkled noses, and creased cheek bones.

Background information[]

This species name, according to the scripts for "The Homecoming", "The Abandoned", and "Extreme Measures" was pronounced as "BOZ-lik". [1]

The Boslic's first "official" appearance came in the form of a female Boslic in the DS9 Season 2 premiere "The Homecoming".

Following her second appearance, the male Boslic was "officially" introduced in the fourth season episode "Sons of Mogh", however, their prosthetics did not resemble those of the aforementioned female, but rather were the same prosthetics worn by the unspecified alien Jaheel in the first season episode "Babel".

The fifth season finale "Call to Arms" saw the first male Boslic appearing with the same prosthetics as the female Boslic.

The makeup for one of the slave girls in the Xanthan floating bazaar in the Star Trek: Enterprise episode "Rajiin" is very close to that of a Boslic.

Apocrypha[]

According to the novel Serpents Among the Ruins, the Boslic homeworld was named Cort, which the Romulans occupied for ten years.
