Bernie Escarcega (born 11 July 1970; age 54) is an actor who appeared as a command officer in several episodes of the sixth and seventh season of Star Trek: Voyager. As a background actor he received no credit for his appearances.
Escarcega names his "hobby" acting as happened by accident. Through networking he was able to get a job on Voyager and worked on around twenty-two episodes of the last two seasons. He then was able to join the Screen Actors Guild, Actors Equity Association and American Federation and Television and Radio Artists and worked on several television shows, movies, and stage productions. Sgt. 1st Class Bernardo Escarcega has been in federal service since 2000. He worked as wounded warrior chaplain assistant at Joint Base Andrews in Prince George's County, Maryland, USA until 2015. Since 2016 he has been working as Senior Non Commissioned Officer Chaplain Recruiter in the Encino neighborhood of Los Angeles, California, USA.
