The BOQ (or Bachelor Officers' Quarters) were a housing facility for visiting or unmarried resident commissioned officers on a United States military base.
In July 1947, the United States Army Air Forces detained a farmer who discovered a crashed UFO in Roswell, New Mexico in the base's BOQ.
Since the Army did not have concrete reason to detain him there, Captain Wainwright voiced his concerns about keeping the man there with Lieutenant General Denning. Despite this, Denning ordered Wainwright not to let him leave until he gave the order to release him. (DS9: "Little Green Men")
