Bea Ellen Cameron (credited as B.C. Cameron) was an assistant director on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
After filming ended on "What You Leave Behind", Cameron went through a list of the main and recurring cast members of Deep Space Nine, saying for each "this is good night and goodbye to...". The initials of Biddle Coleridge from "Past Tense, Part I" and "Past Tense, Part II" were a homage to her. (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Companion, p. 197)
Cameron was interviewed by former Deep Space Nine showrunner Ira Steven Behr on her part in that series for the latter's 2018 documentary, What We Left Behind. In the documentary she explained that she at the start of the series also doubled as the personal assistant for lead performer Avery Brooks.
Career[]
Cameron also worked on another successful television series, Frasier starring Kelsey Grammer. Both shows sets were near each other on the Paramount Pictures lot. Other shows she has worked on include Knots Landing (making a cameo appearance as a police woman in the episode "Just Like Old Times, Part 2") and Spin City.
While she has predominantly worked for television, she actually started out her career as (assistant director) intern/production assistant on the 1986 theatrical features The Naked Cage (also as a stunt woman), 52 Pick-Up (starring John Glover, Alex Henteloff and Clarence Williams III), and the 1987 genre film Masters of the Universe.
