A Tale of Two Stories: The Harsh Realities of Health and Science Journalism in Biased Platforms

In digital journalism, the stories that capture the public’s attention reveal much about societal priorities. This disparity became painfully clear when two vastly different articles were published on the same platform, which I use as a case study in this short post.

One article, “I Slept With All Kinds Of Men for 3 Years,” instantly received a staggering 8,800 views. The sensational title alone was enough to pique curiosity and drive engagement.

On the other hand, my research report on a groundbreaking clinical trial offering new hope for cervical cancer patients, giving hope to millions of vulnerable women globally, got a mere seven views.
