We’re Sick of People Saying They Got Rich off Writing. It’s a Scam.

Aren’t you tired of it?

Writers who talk about getting rich are annoying.

Especially if you’re struggling financially. Most people who brag 24/7 on Instagram about how much money they make are lying.

If they post a picture of a fancy car it’s even more likely to be a lie. The reality is most people don’t get rich off the writing itself.

That’s where the scam is — people on this platform talking about how much the platform paid them.

Who cares?

A writing platform can pay you a lot of money. They can also stop paying you money whenever they like, too.

Or they can ban you. Or they can go bankrupt because they paid you (and others) too much money and now have to close down.

There’s a better way to look at the world.

Worry about how much money you’re making

Forget how much money others are making.

Some writers don’t make money, then are afraid to admit to themselves that they lack skills. To justify their position they adopt a toxic mindset.

  • They trash other writers.
  • They trash the platform.
