Breaking the mould!!!

This post is about the learnings that i gained during my journey to Velliangiri Hills, a few days ago.

Plot begins like this…
____ I and my teammate were in a plan to trek Velliangiri Hills and were all set just two hours before we had to start walking over the first hill. This was our first time to walk through seven consequent hills of over seven kms to get to the peak. As the time passed we were getting excited and bought a bamboo-stick of length that matched our height as it was suggested to be a great support to climb those steep hills.
____ We started climbing the first hill when the first second of a new day did start that is by 00:01 AM. It was pleasant, chill and crowded which was way more than excpected. We marched our first step towards the first hill and started climbing them one-step over one-foot at a time as it was hard to skip two-steps due to its huge thickness. It was a breathtaking performance as soon as we believed to have crossed the first hill but actually we did not. There were no physical marks or cravings that could convey us on which hill we were. By gathering some insights with our neighbour devout, we found that we had crossed our second hill and were in a state to take a quick break. Soon we started and in the mid-way of no-where in the third hill my teammate was climbing up slower as he got exhausted and i went a few steps ahead from where i could not locate him. I did wait for some time but did not catch him up and marched over slow-and-steady. Whenever I looked over a broader way so as to get a quick snap of how much more were left to get to the peak, it was more like giving-up at that point. But i tried not to look up over the broader way again and rather to keep marching up with the shorter-reachable steps slowly and steadily.
____ I was exhausted when it was almost the end of the fourth hill where i took a quick nap and marched up again. This time on a single stretch i reached the end of sixth hill where there was a small pond to take holy bath. It was past 5 early morning when i reached there and the water was ice-like cold. Stretched out by legs and hands here for some time and then moved on to the seventh hill. This was the toughest hill because till the peak of sixth hill, i had to climb up-and-up-and-up from the first hill but before the end of the sixth hill we went down a narrowed path where we could only move one at a time(a one-foot path). There-on seventh hill was to start afresh from the extreme base to the peak again and somehow managed to reach it. The stick was very supportive as it provided a balance while i moved forward with each step. Finally reached the temple and worshipped Lord Shiva with a wonderful, heartfelt sense of fulfillment.
___ It was 8 in the morning when the Sun started to shine bright and within no-time i started back again to march down to the first hill. Here we met each other while moving down the hill. While moving down we got tired more quickly than it was while marching up and had to take a few more breaks. We somehow managed to reach the peak of first hill and then to the destiny. It was a real challenge and wecould not believe that we accomplished this.

The real takeaway here is whatever be your aim or goal or task to achieve, fragment it into parts and try to solve them one after the other as it would help reach your target slowly fast and steady.
