Opinion: The Presidential Debate Was Awful For All Sides
This lame speech is what we have for an election for the President of the US?
So, last night was the 2024 presidential debate. Right now, America is at a crossroads. The 2024 election could quite literally make or break our country’s path — and that’s an opinion I’ve heard from both left and right-wing individuals.
Across the United States, families tuned in to see Trump and Biden debate over major issues facing our country. It’s no secret America is suffering right now. The cost of living skyrocketed, there’s almost no social safety nets, housing is at a crisis, and our planet’s on fire.
Right now, I think I speak for everyone when I say we want to see competent leaders.
I don’t know about you, but I want to see leaders who present themselves professionally these days. I don’t want hooting and hollering at the podium. I want to see eloquent, erudite, and intelligent discourse with manners involved.
I don’t want to see one guy going off the rails, foaming at the mouth while ranting as another one sleepily says, “Don’t,” as if he’s admonishing a kid about to draw on the walls. Neither of those people seems to be particularly…
