I just had to share this incredible story about my sister! With her blessing, of course. You might remember how she moved in with me after escaping a truly awful, abusive relationship? I posted about it some time ago. It was a tough time, she was barely even a shadow of her true self.
Fast forward, she started therapy (CBT, a lifesaver!) and found a safe haven at a women’s Refuge. Here’s the amazing twist! For the past few weeks, she wasn’t just staying there, she’s been volunteering!
She lost her old job at the doctor’s surgery as her narcissistic boyfriend rendered her completely incapable? She practically ran the place before he arrived on the scene?
Well, those skills haven’t vanished. She’s been putting them to the best use ever at the refuge, tackling everything from admin to budgeting.
