This is not a blessing in disguise (or maybe for some of us it is). Iโm not being mean at all, but candid.
Admittedly, I didnโt like attending weddings, I avoided them and as such, I didnโt attend many of the important family events.
Not out of spite, because that would have been implied in that sentence, but because of the energy and the boring atmosphere and the superficiality โ โLetโs go to that wedding, itโll be super cool!โ.
Yup, and itโs always super-duper, as they say. Every time we pretend weโre happy for our loved ones, that theyโve taken the next step, but then we ask the question of -the wedding gift-.
Iโm not disputing, that there are also weddings with parties and sincere people who walk down the aisle out of love, but they are very few. It also depends on your country, customs, traditions, and so on.
Itโs an abomination of what we live today โ weddings out of interest, failed marriagesโฆ A business of image.
