Ferrari has introduced a $423,000 combustion engine sports car designed to support the Italian manufacturer in maintaining its top position in the industry. The 12Cilindri, available as a €435,000 Spider convertible model as well, draws inspiration from Ferrari's touring cars of the 1960s and offers a new choice in the midst of numerous sold-out models, as per Bloomberg.

Ferrari's latest unveiling in Miami on May 2nd, ahead of the Formula 1 Grand Prix, signifies the brand's initial releases for the year. This move comes after the introduction of five models in 2023, as Ferrari continues to rapidly introduce new models to maintain the interest of its affluent clientele.

The luxury car manufacturer has raised prices and has been able to benefit from its wealthy customers being less impacted by inflation and high-interest rates. Despite the company's gradual shift towards battery-powered vehicles, it still heavily relies on its highly profitable combustion engine cars to support profit margins.

The newest model boasts a 12-cylinder engine with an impressive 819 horsepower.

The closed-roof variant will commence deliveries by the conclusion of this year, while the convertible iteration is expected to arrive in early 2025. The quantity of units to be produced remains undisclosed, as per a company representative.

Notably, the car boasts a cockpit design akin to the Purosangue, which Ferrari unveiled in 2022 as an entry into the highly profitable sport utility vehicle market.

The car has a maximum speed exceeding 211 miles per hour and can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers (62 miles) per hour in just 2.9 seconds. Ferrari has implemented advanced software that adjusts the available torque based on the selected gear, resulting in a seamless and gradual increase in acceleration as the transmission ratio rises.
