Topic category: Help with modding (Java Edition)
Whenever I load up my forge installation from Minecraft launcher with my mod (Java file) in the mods folder I get an error message saying something about “this mod is not a forge mod” and I can’t load the game. I am pretty sure I have the same version of mcreator and forge and I have Java installed but I don’t know what’s wrong. Please help 🙏
Are you sure you didn't pick NeoForge as the mod loader when creating a workspace?
I've been tricked by that a couple of times, since it's the default option picked, and regular Forge is just below that.
1.20.1 needs Forge, 1.20.4 needs NeoForge
Oh shoot I picked neoforge. So do I have to download something different for this or can I just convert it to a forge mod?
