Pat Sajak must have had a long day, because he straight-up roasted a guy for his story on an episode of Wheel of Fortune this week.

The poor contestant, named Scott Ingwersen, told a brief story during his intro with Sajak. The gist of it: When he was 12 years old, Ingwersen rode a bike in flip-flops, fell, and chopped off the top of his toe. Some paramedics happened to drive by and took care of him.

"They said, 'It's just a laceration.'" Ingwersen told Sajak and the audience. "But I didn’t know what that was, so it freaked me out even more. And my toe is reattached, and I just wanna say thank you to them 30 years later."

Not the greatest story, ever, sure, but Sajak wasn't having it.

"That may have been the most pointless story ever told. And you told it, Scott. Congratulations to you," the host said.

For his part, Ingwersen laughed off the roast from the famous host.
