With The Adventures of Dick Turpin roaming about, robbing carriages in the woods of Apple TV+, and now Renegade Nell coming to Disney+, it seems there's a little bit of momentum for 18th century English rogues and outlaws on TV.

In the latter action-adventure series, which dropped a trailer today, you'll meet the notorious Nell Jackson (Derry Girls' Louisa Harland), framed for murder and wanted by England. In her quest for freedom, she meets a magic spirit called Billy Blind (Ted Lasso's Nick Mohammed) and soon she's slapping bullets out of the way and fast on her way to infamy.

Frank Dillane, Alice Kremelberg, Ényì Okoronkwo, Jake Dunn, Bo Bragason, Florence Keen, Joely Richardson, Adrian Lester, Pip Torrens, and Craig Parkinson also star.

Renegade Nell is streaming March 29 on Disney+.
