Are you tired of clever, intellectual movies? Don't you just want to watch a giant monster chomp things? The official trailer for Meg 2: The Trench has arrived, and it looks like just camp, action-packed creature feature our overtaxed brains have been craving.

The sequel to 2018 giant fish film The Meg, Meg 2: The Trench sees the return of Jason Statham as rescue diver Jonas, who apparently hasn't sworn off all things aquatic after his previous experience. Instead, he once again finds himself fighting for his life against some improbably large sea nightmares, who seem capable of chomping through every obstacle humans throw at them with no thought at all.

He even dives down to where they live, in a few scenes that look like if Underwater aimed for more action than horror.

Alongside Statham, the film also stars Meg newcomers Wu Jing, Sergio Peris-Mencheta, Skyler Samuels, and Cliff Curtis. Other returning cast members include Sophia Cai as Meiying Zhang, Page Kennedy as DJ, and bigass CGI sharks as everyone's problem.

Meg 2: The Trench slams into cinemas Aug. 4.
