A24 has released a new trailer for '80s slasher horror MaXXXine, packed full of synth-pop, VHS tapes, and a copious amount of blood.

The third and final film in the X trilogy, MaXXXine follows ambitious actor Maxine Minx (Mia Goth) as she pursues stardom in '80s Hollywood. Surviving X's film set massacre doesn't appear to have quelled Maxine's desire for fame, and her dreams finally seem within reach when she catches her big break. Yet everything threatens to unravel due to a serial killer who's targeting rising stars — and who could also bring Maxine's bloody past back to haunt her.

Written and directed by X and Pearl's Ti West, MaXXXine's cast includes Elizabeth Debicki, Moses Sumney, Michelle Monaghan, Bobby Cannavale, Halsey, Lily Collins, Giancarlo Esposito, and Kevin Bacon.

MaXXXine arrives in theatres July 5.
