Following a Thursday night performance of Broadway's The Color Purple, the show's cast (including Jennifer Hudson) came on stage to sing Prince's "Purple Rain."
"He said his music will live o,n and he will live through his music. So we want to keep him alive today with this song," Hudson said, before she and costar Cynthia Erivo blew everyone's minds with an emotional performance.
Hudson later uploaded several parts of the performance to her Instagram.
