In the immortal words of the Internet's best Black Mirror parody: "What if phones, but too much?"

That's the basic premise of Cell, an apocalyptic horror movie in which people turn into zombies because they can't stop playing Candy Crush, or something. Whatever: It stars John Cusack as a man trying to reunite with his son, Orphan's Isabelle Fuhrman as a requisite teenage badass, and Samuel L. Jackson as Samuel L. Jackson.

The film's based on Stephen King's 2006 eponymous novel, which was written before the iPhone even existed. Chew on that while you wait for the film's release: It's coming to VOD on June 10 and theaters July 8.
