Technically, this comes in the form of a free Companion Pass that allows the friend you bring to fly for free between those dates. To unlock the deal, all you have to do is book a single roundtrip (or two one-way) flights before April 5 and fly before May 24. (Obviously, your friend can come on that trip, too — their ticket just won't be free). If you both agree to go halfsies on all tickets to secure the deal for both of you, it's basically 50% off all of your tickets. Note that "free" does not include taxes and fees from $5.60 one-way.
Once you book the first flight to kick things off, Southwest will email you with the next steps on applying the Companion Pass to your Rapid Rewards account.
No, you don't have to bring the same person every time. You can change your designated Companion up to three times within the promotional period and treat multiple different friends to a weekend away.
