At last!

Threads is still missing plenty of important features, but Search is no longer one of them. At least in "most English and Spanish speaking countries".

On Thursday, six days after Meta owner Mark Zuckerberg teased (via the medium of Vin Diesel) that a Search function was coming, he posted an update to say it was officially rolling out.

Countries getting the new feature include the U.S., the UK, India, Mexico and Argentina, per TechCrunch.

After what felt like quite an abrupt launch, Threads has slowly been rolling out updates to its (initially fairly threadbare) interface. The app has launched on desktop, rolled out a Following feed, added a separate feed for reposts, and allowed users to add custom alt text.

There are still plenty of things missing though, with users in the comments calling for hashtags, an edit function, and trending topics, among others.
