UPDATE: Nov. 24, 2023, 7:30 a.m. EST This story has been updated with current pricing/availability, some new Apple MacBook deals, and a new top pick from Walmart.

The only thing better than a great laptop is a great laptop that's on sale. And whether you're after one of the powerful new Apple MacBook Pros, an upgraded gaming PC, or a basic Chromebook for schoolwork, you'll have no trouble finding one at a deep discount this Black Friday: We're seeing a slew of markdowns at tech retailers like Amazon and Best Buy. (The direct websites of brands like Dell, HP, Lenovo, LG, and Microsoft are also packed to the gills with doorbusters, some of which match or beat their third-party rivals.)

To help you sort through the noise, we're keeping a running list of the Black Friday laptop deals and highlighting some of our top picks worth adding to your cart ASAP. Check back often, as we'll be updating our picks regularly as we head into Cyber Weekend.

Note: All newly added deals are marked with a . Deals with a strikeout were either sold out or expired at the time of writing.

Black Friday laptop deals at Amazon

Why we like it

Apple's older 13-inch MacBook Air has a quiet design, a speedy M1 chip, and a long battery life — all factors in its Mashable's Choice Award nod back in 2020. Amazon will let you bundle it with a three-year Apple Care+ plan (worth $179) for just $888.99, which is more than $100 cheaper than the sticker price of the laptop itself.

Why we like it

Featuring a 13th-generation Intel Core i5 processor, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage, this 16-inch convertible laptop hails from Lenovo's incredibly popular Yoga series, which is known for versatile 2-in-1 models with sleek, premium designs and sturdy 360-degree hinges. It's relatively rare to see a laptop with that much memory in the sub-$600 price range, and it's even rarer to find a Yoga for less than $500: You can lock it in at just $499.99 if you're a paid (Plus or Total) member of the My Best Buy program.

Black Friday laptop deals at Walmart

Why we like it

Walmart's Black Friday laptop deals are pretty sparse at the moment (they went live on Wednesday, Nov. 22, and many have since sold out), but this is a solid deal on a 14-inch convertible model from HP's midrange Pavilion line. It comes with a 12th-generation Intel Core i5 processor with 8GB of memory, 256GB of storage, up to 11.75 hours of battery life, and a micro-edge 1080p touchscreen display — some nice specs for entertainment and everyday productivity.

Why we like it

The 15-inch Dell XPS is Mashable's favorite Windows laptop, boasting a premium build with a stunning edge-to-edge display and powerful specs that rival some desktops. This particular model has a 13th-gen Intel Core i7 H-series processor with 16GB of RAM, Intel Arc A370M graphics, and 512TB of storage, and it's sitting at its lowest price to date — a whopping 27% off.
