Here we go, folks: Apple's online store went down -- as is customary -- hours before the start of Monday's event in Cupertino, which starts at 10 a.m. PT.
The message on Apple Store currently reads: "We can't wait to show you what we have in store. Our virtual doors are just about to open. Thank you so much for your enthusiasm and your patience as we work to get everyone in as quickly as possible. Keep checking back, because it won’t be long now."
Although Apple never officially reveals what it plans to show at its events, a slew of rumors indicate we'll see a four-inch iPhone, a new iPad and new Apple Watch bands -- and there's always the possibility of Apple CEO Tim Cook pulling out a surprise or two from his sleeve.
Here's a detailed overview of what you can expect later today, and here you can find our explainer on how to watch the event live.
Of course, Mashable is reporting from the ground in Cupertino; follow our live updates with link.
