Fireworks are typically best viewed in person on July 4th, preferably while you lay on a blanket in the middle of a grassy park. But that's not always an option — maybe you don't live near a fireworks display, you're too sick to leave the house, or the weather has proved challenging. If that's the case, you can watch the a firework display online.

The most famous firework show to stream online is the Macy's fireworks over the Hudson River. Former Mayor Bill de Blasio started the tradition a decade ago and, now, you can watch it without ever having to leave your home. The show will include 60,000 shells of 30 different colors at 1,000 feet high.

NBC will be live streaming it at 8 p.m. ET, hosted by country singer Mickey Guyton and Access Hollywood’s Zuri Hall. Just like other Macy's holiday events, there's more on the docket than just the fireworks — come for the explosions but stay for musical performances by Lainey Wilson, Luis Fonsi, Tanner Adell, Bell Biv DeVoe, Shaboozey, and more.

"Whether you’re at home or on the go, catch every dazzling display, guest appearance, live performance & incredible moment of America’s favorite fireworks spectacular," Macy's said on its site.

If you don't have cable, you can watch it on Peacock, NBC's streaming service. If you don't have cable or Peacock, you can download a free trial on the streaming service or do the same for a live-TV streaming service like Hulu with Live TV, YouTube TV, and Sling.
