Meet Sarai De Leon, NPower Gala Graduate Speaker

NPower Texas graduate and U.S. Air Force Veteran, Sarai De Leon moved us with her personal journey of finding the program during the lowest point in her life. She credits NPower with not only providing a pathway for a career in tech, but also helping her to regain confidence and a sense of purpose. Watch Sarai’s story.

We connected virtually for the NPower 2021 Gala on Thursday, October 14th with attendees feeling the energy and impact throughout the evening.

Over 400 attendees from across the country joined together for a virtual evening of inspiring stories, powerful honorees, and incredible networking. Together, we raised over $1.6 million to create pathways to technology careers for veterans and young adults from underserved communities.

The evening’s honorees, Leslie (Les) A. Brun of Ariel Investments and Sarr Group and Michael C. Bush of Great Place to Work shared their unique perspectives on why the need to reset both personally and professionally is crucial. The pandemic exposed many outdated mindsets and, in order to truly reset, we must create a new path forward.

This year’s theme of RESET: Driving Equity in Tech was woven into every element of the evening with an important call-to-action: to intentionally re-prioritize to build a more inclusive tech sector.

Record-Breaking Text-to-Pledge Drive

NPower board members Chris Perry, Broadridge and Peter Trizzino, Dell Technologies led an NPower record-breaking text-to-pledge drive during the gala resulting in over $370,000 in individual donations.
