In appreciation of those who have served our country.
IN APPRECIATION OF THOSE WHO HAVE SERVED OUR COUNTRY
This Veterans Day, we pause to express our deep gratitude and sincere appreciation to our nation’s service members for their brave and selfless service to our country.
On this day and every day, we remain steadfast in our commitment to make their transition to civilian tech careers as successful as possible. For almost a decade, we’ve provided free technology upskilling, professional development, social service support and job placement services to over 1,600 veterans and their spouses around the country.
Veterans possess a myriad of exemplary traits including grit, determination, persistence, and camaraderie, just to name a few. Despite their commitment to our nation, they often face structural challenges after leaving military service:
45% of veterans who have served since 9-11 experience difficulties in re-entry to society
Nearly 8 in 10 leave the military without job prospects
Women, minorities and younger veterans report having the most trouble transitioning to quality educational institutions and rewarding careers.
Veterans account for 75% of the country’s homeless population
Veterans are 37% more likely to be underemployed than nonveterans
The unemployment rate for military spouses is400% higher than the national average
NPower is part of an ecosystem focused on reversing these trends and assuring successful reintegration for veterans and their families through quality employment and job training. A number of our staff around the country are veterans, so we know first-hand that veterans offer tremendous value to the workforce. We are honored to have so many of our corporate partners share this same commitment to create opportunities for those who have served.

VETERAN VIDEO RESUMES
Often possessing a diverse set of transferable skills such as technical acumen, decision-making, teamwork, perseverance and grit, our veteran graduates are ready to meet the needs of your organization.
In case you missed it, NPower Texas held its annual Champions of Veterans gala virtually on November 10, benefiting the life-changing programs for veterans, transitioning service members, reservists and their spouses in the Dallas Fort-Worth veterans.
The evening featured keynote speaker Brig. Gen. (Retired) Jennifer Buckner, Senior Vice President of Technology Risk Management at Mastercard, while also honoring Boeing with the Champion of Veterans Award for their long-standing commitment to veterans and their families as well as their generous support of NPower.
Missed the gala? There is still time to change the lives of veterans and their families with a donation to NPower. Visit the Champions of Veterans site and enter your donation in the Make a Donation field.
