Development of novel compact heatexchanger using CFD

At the University of Tokyo in cooperation with an industry partner, a novel design for a compact heat exchanger was proposed. Using OpenFoam, I analysed the fluid mechanics and heat transfer mechanics in order to understand their role in vortex shedding for optimizing the geometry.

Technology seed based start-up business proposal

As a student team, we formulated a buisness plan based on an in house technology seed of UTokyo. With the guidance and insight of professors, entrepreneurs and venture capitalists, we were able to propose and pitch a digital product Unfortunately we were not able to further pursue this project as half of our team members had other more conservatives career plans after the semester.

Case study of desalination plant

As a student team, we conducted a case study of a desalination plant located in Ghana (Nungua). We documented the process and project in detail using a simulation software ROSA provided by FilmTec to suggest optimization possibilities for the given plant. A final report comprising the concept engineering, PFD, ecological and economic analysis was delivered.

Development of a software for piping and pumping simulation

As a student team, we developed a C++ based software package to solve physical equations in order to accuratly predict required pumping power and suggesting the optimal combination for a given piping system and its boundary conditions in order to minimize costs. I was in charge of combining the different elements of the code in the main file and developing a numerical solver for the economic scheme.
