AI summer breakfast summary 🌞 KLIEMT.Arbeitsrecht organized an event on the topic of AI in HR at its newly opened Cologne hub on Tuesday and brought together 40 HR managers for an insightful discussion. Miriam Mertens from DeepSkill GmbH and Florian Feltes from Zortify discussed what is possible with AI, particularly in recruiting and employee development. 🔍 Innovation meets intuition: * Miriam Mertens, CEO of DeepSkill GmbH, showed how AI is changing HR development. * Dr. Jan Heuer from KLIEMT highlighted the most important legal aspects of the use of AI in HR, including the EU AI Act. * For Zortify, Prof. Dr. Florian Feltes showed how our AI-based diagnostic tools can simplify and personalize personnel selection and development. 📢 Spotlight on linguistic diversity: Fred Philippy’s presentation at the LDS workshop in Luxembourg! 📢 Last Wednesday, Fred gave an insightful talk at the 'European Language Data Space (LDS) Country Workshop Luxembourg", co-organized by the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST). His talk focused on 'low-resource languages' and the unique challenges and opportunities they present. Fred emphasized the critical importance of working on low-resource languages and highlighted the role they play in making advanced technologies accessible to a wider audience. This is particularly important to us at Zortify as we look to expand our NLP tools to more languages so that more people can use them in their native language. The LDS initiative aims to unlock the potential of data for businesses and citizens in the EU by creating a trusted and effective data market for the exchange of language resources. This aligns perfectly with Zortify’s mission to improve accessibility and inclusivity in technology. Key points from Fred’s presentation: 🔹 Challenges of low-resource languages: Discussed the complexity and difficulties of developing NLP tools for languages with limited data resources. 🔹 Importance of inclusion: He emphasised the importance of including low-resource languages in technological advancements to ensure that no one is left behind. 🔹Future vision: Zortify is committed to expanding its language capabilities to support a more diverse user base. 🎉 Celebrating progress and unity: Zortify’s Mid-Year Milestone Event! 🥳 Last Wednesday, the Zortify team came together for an internal event, and it was an inspiring and fun day! We took the time to reflect on our achievements over the last six months and set the course for an even more exciting journey ahead. During the event, we celebrated our milestones and shared our vision for the next six months. It was great to see how much we have achieved and to focus on our future goals to reaffirm our commitment to innovation and excellence. But it wasn't all work!
