Updates inlude: 1️⃣ The Directorate-General for Traffic has concluded that operations by individual administrators are not subject to VAT, while those by other managers are, depending on their independence and compensation. 2️⃣ Spanish Central Administrative Court ruling that a person performing managerial duties can fulfil the full-time employee requirement for the family business tax reduction. 3️⃣ Finally, 2023 declaration models for Corporate Tax and Spanish Non-Resident Tax have been published, with submission deadlines in July 2024. The German government has recently proposed the 2024 Annual Tax Act Draft 🇩🇪 The draft proposes amendments to how employment income, specifically from “gardening leave” (a period after employment termination where the employee is still paid but not working), is taxed in the country. That’s a wrap for Malaga 2024! What an incredible week we had! Thank you to everyone who made our time in Malaga so unforgettable. We kicked off the week with two enriching days at our inaugural Taxandays event, bringing together over 40 new tax partners for networking, learning and fun. This was followed by a momentous Global Conference where we welcomed over 400 esteemed clients and Taxand colleagues, gathering in this cultural city, the home of Picasso, to shape the future of tax and contemplate the art of the possible?   A huge thank you to our colleagues at Garrigues for hosting the event and welcoming us to their beautiful city. We also extend our sincerest gratitude to all our guest speakers and Taxand experts who were part of our engaging conference agenda and led such thought-provoking discussions, as well as everyone who travelled near and far to join us.
