    Puppeteer is an internal test writing and test execution tool that was developed to simplify and expedite the process of writing and executing automated test scripts. Puppeteer was designed after a need was identified to reduce the amount of effort needed to write test scripts, which were originally written using hand-made XML.

    With Puppeteer, QA Engineers have been able to efficiently write, execute, and evaluated hundreds of automated testing scripts that performed baseline comparison and performance testing. While Puppeteer started as a simple interface around the XML test files, it grew to become a test executor with support for parallelism and supported a locking mechanism to support multiple developers and Jenkins jobs running tests that modified the same subset of data in a shared development database.
