Broader Impacts
“Broader impacts” describe the effects of research on society—the benefits beyond academia to the economy, public policy, science literacy, the increased participation of underrepresented minorities in STEM, the environment, and community partnerships, to name a few. The Lawrence Hall of Science plays a critical role in this effort! Our education experts partner with STEM researchers to bring inspiring and innovative educational experiences to communities and audiences beyond the walls of UC Berkeley.
