Here is the predicament:

A has belongings of B. A is a usUS citizen based in the US and B is a foreign national of another country. B decides that they are giving ownership of their belongings to C who is a usUS citizen in the US.

Can C pursue A in order to get those items back for B and/or themselves?

Where I'm confused is:
I dont see I don't seem to know how this is a problem for the US courts/police because of distance/different countries
Also. Also, who's to say that it isn't just a case of "he said/she said?". C could lie and sayclaim that the items are theirs just to have leverage to make A give them up.
