Martin, Duncan, and Mike dared to believe that Kenya's unique talent, geology, and energy resources could revolutionize the Direct Air Capture (DAC) industry.   📈 Today, that dream has taken remarkable shape. Our team has grown to include 59 passionate and talented innovators committed to building and deploying world-class DAC technology right here in Kenya. With 8 large-scale DAC machines already operational, we are now gearing up to launch our pilot DAC+Storage plant, the first of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere, later this year.   🙏 This incredible journey would not have been possible without our team's dedication and tireless efforts. In this edition of our Employee Spotlight Series, we shine a light on Khamis Muniru, our Instrumentation and Control Engineer.    🔧With his background in electrical and electronic engineering, Khamis is a crucial member of our Research & Development team. He designs and develops custom hardware for control and data acquisition at various stages of the Direct Air Capture (DAC) process.   🏆His ingenuity has propelled him forward and gained recognition on a grand scale. Notably, he and his teammate won the Jacob's Ladder Africa Innovation Challenge 2024 among 250 applicants, showcasing his exceptional skills and creativity in developing cutting-edge solutions.    💡In his words, "Being part of the Octavia Carbon team allows me to combine my technical expertise with my commitment to advancing technology that will help safeguard our planet.
