On July 13, 2023, the Southern District Court of New York issued its anticipated ruling in Securities and Exchange Commission v. Ripple Labs, Inc. The SEC had accused Ripple Labs of violating the Securities Act of 1933, specifically Section 5, by unlawfully offering and selling securities.
