This week, we had the honour of hosting the Confindustria Varese General Conference at our historic production site on the shores of Lake Varese. Innovation, research, and the promotion of Made-in-Italy were at the heart of the discussions.
In his opening speech, MV Agusta President, Hubert Trunkenpolz, reiterated the importance of Made in Italy for the company, in light of the recent acquisition by the Pierer Mobility group, the European leader in two-wheelers: "Pierer Mobility has chosen to acquire MV Agusta as a symbol of Italian excellence, a true gem in the motorcycle sector. The group is committed to preserving this gem and protecting its activity, and for this reason, MV Agusta will remain in Varese, where our products are entirely designed, developed, and handcrafted in our sole production plant. By doing so, MV Agusta will be able to preserve the identity that makes its products true works of art on two wheels and, at the same time, will have at its disposal all the technological strength of Pierer Mobility group, a leader in the world of two-wheelers, to continue developing unique products that continue to make motorcyclists dream all over the world.”
Luca Martin, CEO of MV Agusta, explained: "Regarding talent attraction, MV Agusta is countering Italian statistics. It is indeed a hub capable of attracting talent and bringing professionals back to work in Italy from abroad. The history and prestige of the brand, combined with the strength and vision of the Pierer group, facilitate the attraction of those talents who would otherwise remain among the 'brain drain.' This leads to the acquisition of young professionals with strong international experience and an approach always oriented towards innovation in every aspect of the company. As for sustainability, it is indeed placed at the center of our operations: from the preservation of the production site and respect for the territory, to the supply chain, which represents a key factor. Our constant commitment is to improve and make the entire production chain more efficient, from the packaging of the final product to the supplier selection standards. Every single detail of our operations is taken into consideration to identify improvement margins on the subject, and these improvements are implemented in no time, embracing every idea without hesitation."
We are proud to have brought together key figures from the entrepreneurial, political, and cultural spheres, highlighting the crucial role that innovation and research play in promoting Made in Italy globally.
