Once again, MILE School is proud to participate in the European Union-sponsored “Fruit and Vegetables in Schools” programme! 🍎🥦🍓🍒🌱 This initiative, in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food, Forestry and Tourism, the Ministry of Education, University and Research, the Ministry of Health, Agea, the Regions, and the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano, aims to encourage children to consume more fruit and vegetables. By promoting healthy eating habits and educating about the importance of preventing food waste, this "green" initiative complements our “Vegetable Garden Project,” which engages students from kindergarten through primary school. ... ... Anche quest'anno MILE School ha aderito al programma "Frutta e verdura nelle scuole", promosso dall'Unione Europea, coordinato dal Ministero delle Politiche Agricole, Alimentari, Forestali e del Turismo e svolto in collaborazione con il Ministero dell’Istruzione, dell’Università e della Ricerca, il Ministero della Salute, Agea, le Regioni e le Province autonome di Trento e Bolzano. PIANO CITY MILANO 2024 "MILE è nata 20 anni fa dall'idea di una fondatrice pianista, Adriana Sorbellini, che ha messo la musica e tutte le arti al primo posto. Aveva ben chiaro, già 20 anni fa - e speriamo che in molti abbraccino questa convinzione - che non è mai esistito nè esisterà scienziato, politico o grande personalità che, nella sua vita, non abbia messo la musica come elemento fondamentale. Un ringraziamento speciale va anche ad Elena Bignardi, che ha saputo valorizzare e continuare questo meraviglioso percorso" Maestro di Musica, MILE School, Andrea Musumeci. «Abbiamo deciso di candidarci al Festival in quanto riteniamo che la cultura musicale offra un completamento fondamentale nel percorso di formazione dell’alunno. Il Festival, inoltre, ci è sembrato un’ottima occasione per aprire le porte della scuola anche al pubblico esterno dal momento che il nostro legame con il territorio e con la città di Milano è da sempre molto forte».  È stato un grande onore ed un piacere ospitare la straordinaria ed eclettica artista Mariangela Ungaro nella nostra scuola con "Cinema d'ascolto: il piano dei piccoli". Mariangela, una grande divulgatrice, ha raccontato il potere del Suono e la sua universalità durante un indimenticabile concerto insieme ai piccoli pianisti di MILE, che hanno suonato alcuni brani dimostrando loro impegno e passione.  «Un ringraziamento sincero va sia a Mariangela sia al nostro team docenti di musica di MILE School, per aver reso possibile questa iniziativa» Principal, Elena Bignardi. .. This week, we are celebrating the incredible accomplishments of our Grade 6 students in the ISP Scientist - Ellipsis Earth Food, Fashion, and Me project! 🌱 Our students have truly outdone themselves with their dedication, creativity, and hard work. They became young scientists on a mission, exploring how to reduce our carbon footprint through positive changes in our food and fashion habits. And their efforts did not go unnoticed! 🏆 Out of our fantastic Grade 6 cohort, a total of 48 students, here's a snapshot of their recognition: 🥇 Total Participants and Awards: A whopping 179 awards received, showcasing our students' excellence among 596 participants from 68 schools across 15 countries! 🌟 Special Mention Gold Awards for 17 MILE students😀 📝 Junior Final Assignment: 5 MILE students received high commendations for their exceptional work 🏅 Junior Final Assignment of the Year was awarded to 1 of our students 🔬 ISP Scientist of the Year Highly Commended, 1 of our students was recognized for their exceptional contribution, and last but not least 🌍 Ellipsis Earth Scientist of the Year: a standing ovation to our student who earned this remarkable achievement! Her passion for making a difference is truly commendable. 🌟 Our students have not only showcased their academic prowess but have also demonstrated essential 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, and communication.
