Do you want to know how a manufacturer of #agricultural machinery achieved a 90% degree of #automation? Originally, their front loaders were primed by dip coating. The geometrically complex parts were then powder-coated manually and cured in an oven. This process had fundamental disadvantages: Fluctuating results in quality and slow production. Our solution: Priming and coating are both carried out in automatic S-Cube #powder booths - using 3D coating for high surface coverage and the SuperCenter EVO powder center for highly automated and fast color changes. 🏅 We are delighted: “Die Oberfläche” award goes to WAGNER A real game changer is the “Flowsense” technology developed by WAGNER, which was the only technology in the powder coating sector to be honored at “Die Oberfläche” (“The Surface") Awards yesterday. Congratulations also to the other award winners, Holzapfel Group - Holzapfel Metallveredelung GmbH and TE Connectivity from the electroplating industry. The Surface Award recognizes outstanding developments from across the industry in surface treatment and finishing technologies. According to the expert jury, Flowsense's most notable achievements are increased productivity, powder savings, improved quality and reduced carbon footprint.  With Flowsense, WAGNER has succeeded in controlling the powder coating process in a reproducible manner, thus achieving consistently perfect surface quality. In a nutshell: "PUT QUALITY ON REPEAT". Compared to liquid paint coating, the powder coating process has so far been more of a blind flight in terms of powder feeding, where the set output quantities were neither known nor constant over the medium term due to wear and other process parameters. Users have compensated by accepting higher tolerances or more frequent manual inspections - not a good situation! 👉 Flowsense, on the other hand, acts as an autopilot in the powder coating process, automatically navigating the coating process and leading to better coating results. This frees the operator to focus on other tasks.
