Critical and emerging technologies (CETs) are a subset of advanced technologies that are potentially significant to U.S. national and economic security. These technologies include, among other things: (1) Quantum computing; (2) Data privacy, data security, and cybersecurity; (3) Virtual and augmented reality; (4) Robotics; (5) 5G and 6G communications; (6) Clean energy generation and storage; (7) Financial technologies;(8) Artificial intelligence, and more. IPWatchdog has long focused on these topics, from a law, business and policy perspective, and this program will not only complement our coverage of these important technologies but will also expand on the success of our Artificial Intelligence Masters™ program, which takes place in the spring each year.
CET Masters™ 2024 will specifically focus on the law, business, and policy of critical and emerging technologies other than artificial intelligence (AI). While we will not ignore AI to the extent necessary, we will primarily focus on other technologies within the CET universe and allow our annual AI program to continue to focus on that crucially important technology area in the depth it deserves.

***We apply for CLE for many of the panels on our in-person programs. One major benefit of attending in-person is that CLE is ONLY given to those who attend live and in-person. We do not apply for CLE for replays or hybrid viewing.
IPWatchdog is located approximately 10 minutes from Dulles International Airport (IAD). Plenty of parking is available. The closest hotel is Tru by Hilton, which is less than 1 mile away. Tru by Hilton is located adjacent to the One Loudoun complex, and less than a 5 minute walk to excellent restaurants and several upscale bars.
