Women’s IP Forum

August 26-27, 2024

Please join us at IPWatchdog Studios in Ashburn VA, on August 26-27, 2024, for our for our First Annual Women’s IP Forum, where 100% of our speakers will be women, and many of the speakers will be women who are senior associates or junior partners. Realizing that opportunity is essential to achieving success, we hope that by including these younger, rising stars we will give them an opportunity on stage in front of an audience, which they they may not otherwise have for some time. Our plan is to invite women IP attorneys with more experience to participate on the panels with these rising stars. These experienced women will moderate the panels and work with the younger panelists to help them prepare. Our hope is the more experienced women participating will mentor the younger rising stars.

Join us on May 5-7, 2025, for our Third Annual Patent Portfolio Management Masters™ program, a part of the IPWatchdog Masters™ series, at IPWatchdog Studios in Ashburn VA. This high-level, interactive, limited enrollment program will focus on the building and maintaining of a patent portfolio, whether that is the result of organically created and protected innovation, as the result of portfolio growth through M&A, or due to strategic patent portfolio acquisition. We will discuss what it means to have a “strong portfolio”, which may vary depending on company philosophy and industry. We will also discuss the difference between building and maintaining the portfolio you want versus the portfolio you need versus the portfolio you can afford. To do this we will focus on the business and budgeting necessary to build and maintain a patent portfolio worldwide, where applications should be filed and why, how to decide what to keep and what to cull, proper collaboration between in-house and outside counsel, internal invention harvesting, and strategic prosecution issues that directly relate portfolio building.
