Alia Bhatt Discusses Parenting Style And Letting Raha Develop Own Personality: 'You Have To Nurture And Care'

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s daughter Raha is already the center of attention in the media. As it is with star kids, they often grow up in stressful environments, with the attention of the media and public always on them. This is intensified depending on how big of a star their parents are. In the case of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s daughter, their parents are two of the biggest movie stars Bollywood has seen in recent times.

Recently, during a new interview, Alia Bhatt spoke about motherhood, and how she wants to raise her daughter. In a conversation with Hindustan Times, Bhatt shared her thoughts on allowing Raha to develop her own personality. She said, “I do believe children are born with their own personality. You just have to nurture and care for them and let them find their own feet. Let them be their own person. I don’t think I want her (Raha) to ever be any version of herself that she doesn’t feel most comfortable with.”

Discussing her legacy and her parenting style, Bhatt described herself as a blend of meticulous and spontaneous. “When it comes to the legacy that I envisioned as an actor and a mother, I don’t think it has been calculated from my side. The choices I make as a mother are also very instinctive to what I feel is best for my child. I am very meticulous, but I can also be very random. So I’m kind of a mix of both,” she explained.

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor welcomed Raha in November 2022. The Bollywood couple kept her away from the public eye for almost a year, finally introducing her to the paparazzi at the Kapoor family’s Christmas lunch in 2023.

On the professional front, Alia Bhatt is set to play a super-agent in Yash Raj Films’ next Spy Universe movie Alpha. She also has Vasan Bala’s Jigra and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love And War in the pipeline.
