Leadership lessons on setting financial distribution- Its very crucial to have robust distribution setup to reach rural Bharat were 61% of our population resides. Rural bharat for next three years will be in Hybrid model ie phygital or digitally assisted model. Once CBDC becomes embedded part of commerece and all payment ecosystem including nbfc digital bharat will grow digital adoption mutlifold. Financial Distributors should never confuse their extension of Financial services products provided by Banks and other financial institution as their own product. Technically no Banking correspondents or financial distributors can have right to have their own products. If the have licences under regulation they can create products and such frameworks are different. Also in case of lending, Insurance , Fintechs and DSA should come under regulation. RBI, IRDAI, SEBI, NPCI and BFSI must ensure such clause and clarity should be decakred by such distributors, fintech and Banking correspondents to mention it exclusively in their websites. From a 5-year loss-making startup to a profit-making company—how enabling vision, strategy, and alignment transformed a BFSI client's fate! 📍 Early days: When we started engaging with our client, a large BFSI company from Pune, it had been in operation for 5 years with a robust technology marketplace. Their vision was to become an e-commerce marketplace for all BFSI products, primarily serving their parent entity. The main challenge was expanding their client base to include other large market players. 📍A new vision and strategy: The CEO aimed to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset within the company, promoting a can-do spirit, winning attitude, and startup-like agility. The first step in managing stress is to acknowledge that it’s “natural”. Stress has existed since the time humans have existed and once we understand that, it automatically ceases to be a problem bigger than it should be. Here are some ways in which I mitigate the impact of stress depending on the situation:

The disguised unemployment in India should be one of the highest in the world and a serious concern. While I understand this may be their only livelihood, I think we should do better. Unsure if we will ever be able to achieve in the current digital age, but what China has achieved in Manufacturing should be replicated sooner than before, or else we will continue seeing the same patterns. Multiple traffic police at a junction waving their hands. Multiple security guards to open the same gate. Multiple other jobs that increases the level of complacency. I hope we get a true sense of employment opportunities; otherwise, with the income inequality increasing with every quantitative easing, we would see universal basic income coming sooner, and I doubt if there ever will be a purpose post that.

*** A tale of two TV shows *** 1. The state-owned Doordarshan – a monopoly in the 70s and 80s – broadcasted some brilliant content but only if it was deemed proper by the bureaucrats. It used to air a show called “Aapke Khat” (if my memory serves me right wrt the name) in which a host read out viewers' letters to a senior official of DD. This is what happened in every episode: - A spartan-looking set and two uninterested people going through the motions - Every single suggestion or complaint was shot down mercilessly by the DD official (“aisa nahi hai”, “yeh kehna theek nahi rahega”, “hum karte hain”). It was an exercise in futility. 2. With the cable TV revolution in 1991, Zee TV was a breath of fresh air. It brought good content, including that which would have not been considered proper by DD standards. But their viewer feedback show “Daak Ghar” was in stark contrast to the one on DD. Here’s how: - Falguni and Tushar Dalvi with their bright smiles in front of a bright-lit set. - Bouquets and brickbats were equally welcome. - Accepting complaints without disputing (“hum aap ka sujhaav show ke producers tak pahauncha denge”). This was a welcome change from the bossy attitude of the DD show. It was also perhaps the first “friendly customer service” that I had come across. And this seemingly trivial show airing at 9:30 pm on Sunday morning helped build a positive brand image for Zee TV. Your #customerservice says more about the brand than the actual product. Hence, the demeanour and attitude of your customer service team is a very important aspect to look into. Everyone likes to be heard and attended to. Customer Service is one of the biggest influencing factors in building #loyalty.

When Dhruv Shah from FCB Kinnect first reached out to me for HDFC Bank's EOSS idea, I was stunned by the creativity of the idea, but I was equally concerned because we were being asked to create a deepfake of Nora, at the time when deepfakes were being look down upon! Once we were comforted that Nora is a partner in this (anti) crime, we then saw it as an opportunity for using our latest Generative AI models of Face Swapping and Voice Cloning, to raise awareness about the potential nefarious use cases of deepfakes, helping society build resilience and develop antibodies against such misuse- and I was like "Alright, let's do it!" Yes, we faced road blocks, yes we had late night meetings, but it all turned out beyond beautiful in the end, especially after this line up of awards that this campaign won: 🏆 Cannes Lions: A coveted Silver Lion in PR for Use of Events & Stunts, alongside 3 impressive shortlists! 🏆 The Abbys 2024 Goafest: We walked away with the top honor - the Grand Prix in the Use of AI category - alongside a staggering 3 Golds, 3 Silvers, and 2 Bronzes. 🏆 2024 Kyoorius Creative Awards: Adding to the recognition, the campaign secured wins in both the Experience & Engagement and Advertising categories. Goundamani wishes to be so popular that he asks Senthil to make him so, handing out Photographs of the him and his Spouse. Senthil vouches to make them a famous Brand like Marlon -Brand-O. Soon Goundamani senses his increase in popularity with so much of inquiries about the couple's Photographs. Only to his surprise he finds the Photos at sign Boards for indication of Male / Female at Public Toilets.
