  Installation of the Intuitive HUB System at Schneider Children's Medical Center of Israel is now complete! The Intuitive HUB system will enhance surgical procedures and improve patient outcomes at Schneider Children’s Hospital Clinic. A special thanks to Dr Michael Segal, who appears in the photo, a specialist in pediatric surgery, for advocating for the acquisition in the operating room that serves all departments. The new Hub installations will record surgeries for medical follow-up, and the team will use the materials to train interns and to broadcast surgeries in real-time, collaborating with surgeons from Israel and abroad. We are proud to support the dedicated medical professionals at Schneider Children's Medical Center, who work tirelessly to provide exceptional care. As part of our observance of Pride Month, we organized an intimate event for our employees and allies. We were privileged to welcome Sarit Ben-Shimol, a distinguished diversity and inclusion consultant, as our guest speaker. Sarit's "Proud Mom" talk shared her personal journey, providing a touching storytelling experience and valuable insights. Her story offered us a unique opportunity to learn from personal experiences and deepen our understanding of LGBTQ+ perspectives. "The HUB system trains the next generation of surgeons in Israel" - Lauren Lahav לורן להב, a specialist in general surgery at Meir Medical Center, talks about the system at a seminar held by the surgical department staff at the hospital. Inguinal hernia is a widespread problem. About 10,000 surgeries are performed in Israel each year to repair this type of hernia. At Meir Medical Center in Kfar Saba, they decided to take up the challenge and hold a learning day with the participation of specialists and residents in general surgery from all over the country, which dealt with the repair of inguinal hernia using laparoscopic and robotic approaches. In the past, these surgeries were performed using an open method without cameras. In recent years, the minimally invasive procedure has become the standard for performing these surgeries, and with it, the use of the HUB system has increased. During the seminar, two laparoscopic surgeries and one robotic surgery were performed, all of which were broadcast live one after the other on a screen in a meeting room where expert surgeons, residents, interns, and medical students sat. With the help of Intuitive's system, which broadcasts the image of the surgical field as seen by the surgeon, those present could watch the surgery from the meeting room while listening live to the surgeon's explanations. Given the high prevalence of the minimally invasive method, with many surgeries performed using these systems, Intuitive's HUB system provides added value to surgeons. It allows them to go back, watch the surgery they performed, analyze their actions, and draw conclusions for future implementation. "The HUB system gives us a lot, and we use it daily. During the morning meeting in the surgical department, we commonly watch parts of the surgeries performed the previous day to learn good techniques, analyze surgical actions, and identify obstacles. It's an excellent way to learn from each other's experiences. This is how we use the system to train the next generation of surgeons in Israel," said Dr.Lauren Lahav לורן להב, a Senior Surgeon and Attending Physician at Meir Medical Center.

בשבוע האחרון אירחנו במשרדי החברה נערות ונערים מבית הספר התיכון קוגל, שנמצא בחולון ותלמידי מגמת מערכות רפואיות בתיכון שנמצא במג'דל שאמס. במהלך הסיורים התלמידות והתלמידים נפגשו עם עולמות הביו - טק והרפואה הרובוטית, וזכו להכיר מקרוב את הטכנולוגיות המתקדמות שפותחו באינטואיטיב – ביניהן הרובוט החדשני, דה וינצ'י. במהלך הסיורים הנערות הנערים השתתפו בהרצאות וסדנאות אקטיביות שהועברו על ידי עובדי החברה, שנועדו להעשיר את הידע שלהם על תעשיית ההיי-טק ולפתח את החשיבה היצירתית, תוך מתן כלים פרקטיים ויכולות רלוונטיות. התלמידים והתלמידות יזמו רעיונות למוצרים ולפיצ'רים חדשים, שהוצגו בפני צוות שופטים ונהנו מפידבק מקצועי. תלמידי תיכון מג'דל שאמס זכו גם לסדנה חוויתית על מקצועות העתיד, על איך לנווט בעולם העבודה החדש ואיך לבחור את הכיוון המקצועי הנכון עבור כל אחד ואחת.   בהזדמנות זו נשמח להודות לכל מי שלקח חלק בשבוע החשוב הזה, ולTech&Talk MATAM על האירוח החם והתרומה המדהימה לקהילה.   אנחנו מאמינים שחשיפה מוקדמת לתחומים אלו חיונית לעתיד תעשיות הרפואה וההיי-טק ומעודדים את הנוער לחשוב באופן יצירתי, להמשיך לחקור ולפעול כדי להשפיע. אינטואיטיב גאה לקחת חלק בתהליך הפיתוח של הדור הבא! נופר הוניגמן, המורה שליוותה את הסיור מטעם תיכון קוגל: "המטרה של הסיור הייתה לחבר את הלמידה של הכיתה ל-"עולם האמיתי" ולהעשיר את הידע שלהם על עולם ההייטק ועל פיתוח מוצרים. אין ספק שהייתה חוויית למידה ייחודית מאוד, שאני מקווה שהתלמידות והתלמידים ייקחו איתן ואיתם להמשך הדרך. אני רוצה להגיד תודה גדולה לאינטואיטיב ישראל על הנכונות, הזמן והמחשבה שהשקיעו ליצירת היום המיוחד הזה."  Shamir Research Institute

עובדי אינטואיטיב חגגו יום הולדת יחד עם מדינת ישראל!   עובדי אינטואיטיב ברחבי הארץ ציינו השבוע את יום העצמאות בדגש על אחדות והכרה בכור ההיתוך ובשורשים שמקשרים אותנו זה לזה ולמדינת ישראל. לכבוד האירוע ערכנו ארוחה חגיגית אשר כללה מאכלים מגוונים ממדינות העולם השונות, ביניהן; עוגות רומניות, בלינצ'ס פולני, קובה עיראקי וקציצות טריפולאטיות. שמחנו להכיר את תרבויותיהן השונות של עובדי החברה, להתנסות במאכלים חדשים ולשתף אחד את השנייה בחוויות.   ולא רק מדינת ישראל גדלה בשנה, אנו מאחלים לעובדים שחגגו החודש יום הולדת ולמדינה, את הטוב ביותר.

A Big Shoutout to Moshe Bouhnik for his participation in a panel discussion on "Real-Time Video Analysis Use Cases" at the recent meetup, "Real Life Use of Clinical AI".   The event, hosted yesterday by NVIDIA and organized with RISE: Scaling Healthtech at Assuta, gathered professionals in the field of Clinical AI. Moshe's contribution to the discussion helped highlight the practical implications of real-time video analysis in healthcare.   Thank you, Moshe, for your work and for representing Intuitive Israel at this event.

Clalit-Beit Loewenstein Hospital has installed the Intuitive Hub system in their clinic, advancing the diagnosis and treatment of swallowing disorders such as dysphagia. Around 30% of patients at the Clalit-Beit Loewenstein rehabilitation center suffer from severe dysphagia, which can lead to life-threatening dehydration, malnutrition, and pneumonia if not properly managed.   The hospital’s new HUB system enables documentation software to meticulously track patient data over time, facilitating personalized nutrition plans and empowering valuable research.   We would like to thank the Clalit-Beit Loewenstein team, including Rim Aidat and Olga Bendit, as well as the Intuitive team - Omri Hazan, Jonathan Aharoni, and Roy Czermak.

Why are our robotic-assisted surgical systems called da Vinci? Today, on Leonardo da Vinci's birthday, we find it the perfect opportunity to share with you.   The name 'da Vinci' pays homage to the legendary 15th-century inventor, painter, philosopher, and Renaissance polymath who is renowned for his pioneering work in advancing the study of human anatomy. His fascination with mechanics and automation culminated in the creation of the first known robot, 'Leonardo’s Robot,' around the year 1495. Choosing his name for our robotic systems signifies our commitment to innovation and excellence in healthcare technology.

Mentioning International Health Day yesterday, we celebrated the remarkable progress made in healthcare. An example of this progress is the Intuitive groundbreaking HUB Clinical Media Management System developed by the Israeli team. This cutting-edge platform has been installed in hundreds of hospitals across the globe, revolutionizing surgical procedures with real-time collaboration and advanced data analysis.   The recent installation of the Intuitive Hub at the new medical center, SIMC - Sakhnin Medical Center, marks another milestone in the adoption of advanced technologies in the healthcare system. Intuitive congratulates the hospital on its first installation and the opening of its new facility.
