We are excited to announce the launch of "Build Your Global Board by 8400," a unique program designed to assist and enable HealthTech startups in their pre-growth and growth stages. This program aims to equip CEOs with the necessary tools and knowledge to construct, strengthen and engage their global board of directors, focusing on the pivotal role of independent board members. Over the course of 4 sessions – you will hear from experienced global independent board members, startups, VCs, recruitment leaders & legal leaders who have a nuanced understanding of this critical process. During these hand-on sessions, CEOs will have the opportunity to develop their own tailored made plan &  gain access to office hours for additional insight from select faculty members. A few highlights from last week's event on “Bridging the Bench and the Bedside: Physician-Scientists Spearheading Patient Care through Drug Development” held by 8400 The Health Network in collaboration with HCRI HADASSAH CANCER RESEARCH INSTITUTE The day opened with Prof. eli pikarsky who spoke of 'Educating Future Physician-Scientists', this was followed by Case Studies on 'The Power of Industry Collaborations and Non-dilutive Funding': 'Generating the Liquid Biopsy Consortium' with Prof. eli pikarsky, Dr. Tuvik Beker, Dr. Ronen Sadeh, Prof. Aron Popovtzer & Amalia Herszkowicz; 'AI'ing electronic medical records' with Dr. Shai Rosenberg; 'Establishing the Hadassah cell therapy program' with Prof. Polina Stepensky & Prof. Cyrille Cohen, followed by 'Establishing a European Community-sponsored Consortium, with Prof. Michal Lotem, Odellia Malka & Prof. Rotem Karni The day continued with 2 iTEDs: 'The hunt for human samples' by Dr. Tal Falick Michaeli & 'The returning physician-scientist' by Dr. Albert Grinspun, and concluded with a discussion led by Dr. Shlomit Yehudai-Reshef, PhD, which tackled crucial issues such as motivating more physicians to research and fostering additional funding mechanisms for hospital-based research. Congratulations to the graduates of Cohort #2 of iTranslate - Research Leaders Fueling Healthtech by 8400! The final session opened with Shlomit Yehudai-Reshef, PhD who shared fascinating professional & personal story. Followed by Tamar Raz who shared the new Licensing Playbook, developed through a collaborative effort by Israel Innovation Authority, 8400 The Health Network and ITTN - Israel Technology Transfer Network. Both lectures led to fruitful discussions on commercialization. The session closed with a 'Meet the Industry' event with distinguished industry and academia guests who came to hear participant pitches - looking forward to seeing what connections were made!
