Today NDRC celebrates three years of helping build a thriving startup ecosystem in Ireland - supporting thousands of founders and hundreds of companies. Some of the highlights so far? 🌟 €56m raised by NDRC startups 🌟 €180m raised by the entire portfolio 🌟 650+ new jobs created in Ireland 🌟 30% women-led or co-led investments We’re also proud to announce a 2-year contract extension to continue supporting entrepreneurs and their ambition to make Ireland the best place in Europe to build a startup company, with thanks to the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications. This has been a collective effort powered by partner hubs Dogpatch Labs (Dublin), PorterShed (Galway), RDI Hub (Kerry) and Republic of Work (Cork), and supported by an invaluable network of passionate ecosystem builders at home and on an international scale, from VCs to corporate partners, to universities, mentors and speakers. 🟢⚪️ First Week in the NDRC Accelerator Program 🟢⚪️ We're just one week in, and we're already loving the energy and excitement of the NDRC Accelerator program! 🚀🎉 It's been an action-packed few days, and we're happy to share some highlights from our first week: 📈 Mentor Madness: We've had the pleasure of meeting with amazing mentors, who have provided invaluable insights and guidance. 🤝 Network Expansion: We've connected with fellow entrepreneurs and industry experts, expanding our network and learning from their experiences. The NDRC community is incredible, and we're grateful to be a part of it! 💻 Product Development: We've made significant progress on our product development roadmap, and we're excited to showcase our latest features soon. We're thrilled to be among six exceptional companies and founders, each with their own unique stories and passions. Meeting with the founders of DevA11y Revium Meta-flux and Sulu Solutions as well as Hatched Analytics and Kreoh has been an inspiration, and we're excited to learn from their experiences. NDRC, the national start-up accelerator programme managed by Dogpatch Labs, kicks off this week with seven new start-ups as part of its latest cohort. The accelerator will be led by new managing director Malaika Judd, an angel investor and entrepreneur who previously co-founded Kenyan start-up Sendy. More on the full cohort at Silicon Republic

Today we officially welcome our new NDRC Accelerator MD Malaika Judd to the team, and announce the seven startups selected for H2’s accelerator programme. Malaika, co-founder of African startup Sendy which raised $45m+, brings her global expertise and entrepreneur-led focus to these Irish entrepreneurs. Featured in globally-renowned gaming media network IGN Entertainment for its Proteus controller beta, ByoWave now announces a €1.5M raise to bring its accessible video gaming tech to the market. Kudos to NDRC Pre-Accelerator alum, co-founders of the ‘Lego video-game controllers’ Brandon Blacoe and Eibhlin O'Riordan’Riordan, who also welcomed a new COO Joe O'Donovan onboard this week, and plan to enter the US market with their Microsoft partnership. Deemed the “flight simulator” for training sales teams, NDRC Accelerator alumni Solidroad today announces a $1.2M raise for its AI-powered platform. Well-known Irish tech angels have backed the co-founders’ startup, including Dan Kiely of VoxPro, Intercom’s co-founder Ciaran Lee, Louise Phelan (formerly led PayPal), Anne Heraty of tech recruitment CPL, and Wayflyer’s Jack Pierse. Co-founders Mark Hughes and Patrick Finlay, who met while working at Intercom, already boast major partnerships on their client list like Ryanair, Three Ireland, and ActiveCampaign. Who doesn’t love a room filled with NDRC alumni entrepreneurs? Over 40 entrepreneurs reconnected, swapped stories from their time in Pre-Accelerator and Founder Weekend programmes, and learned from founder-led fireside chats with successful entrepreneurs. Director of the NDRC Pre-Accelerator Lizzy Hayashida got into the nitty gritty of a fundraising journey, hearing from both the founder (Conor from ABC Glofox) and the VC who invested in them (Gianni Matera of Growing Capital) - warts and all version. The latest addition to the NDRC team Malaika Judd (founder of Kenyan startup Sendy) shared the floor with Sweepr’s founder and NDRC mentor Alan Coleman for a tell-all founder journey to creating globally successful startups.
