A must listen from our customers FEEDWORKS USA, LTD. with John Clark, P.A.S. and our very own Dr.Enda Neville. #transitioncow #dairyfarming
New DRN audio — John Clark, P.A.S., Feedworks USA, just met with Dr. Enda Neville from Celtic Sea Minerals on a trip to Ireland. Hear about some differences in dairy farming and forages between Ireland and the U.S., not to mention one important similarity: the challenge of transition cow management. Dr. Neville offers a solution that, for some, rises above the many other strategies used to compensate for energy loss during transition. Calmin, he explains, a product produced from cultivated seaweed, can increase dry matter intake in that week before calving, and prevent that nosedive or that dip in intake. Special thanks to Dr. Neville, Dr. Finbar Mulligan, and University College Dublin Lyons Farm for sharing their expertise and hospitality.
